If you look in the mirror and see nothing you would change, you are not among the majority. If you, like me, see flaws and imperfections, welcome to the normal club.

No matter the time, money or effort, we refuse to give up striving for the ideal. But if you look close at the “ideal,” you’ll find that not everything is as perfect as we believe. To make my point, let’s look at a few of our ideal beauties.

Do you see it?

Can you guess where I’m going with this?

Putting Miley, Cameron’s and Selena’s cup sizes together won’t fill half of Dolly’s. You can argue that these celebrities don’t need enhancements for success but consider that they made it the top in a B cup size. We focus on their charisma, confidence and charm and not their cleavage.

Fuller pucker-uppers ranks next to the current obsession with false eyelashes. Videos show the cringe factor some undergo to temporarily plump up their lips. Even worse are photos of failed fillers. The money, the pain – oh, my!

No matter what your perceived flaw, it’s worth an internet search of whatever it is that troubles you about yourself. But with a twist. Instead of looking for products for thin hair, search for, “Famous people with thin hair.” Getting gray? Check out photos of celebrities doing the same.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When you look in the mirror, try to let those eyes be yours.
